Curtis & Mary Taylor

Country Managers of East Africa
Curtis and Mary are natives of northern Utah, but lived in western Colorado for 21 years and in southern California for 3 years. They also lived internationally in the Middle East—in Amman, Jordan and Doha, Qatar. At these international locations they were involved in humanitarian, interfaith, leadership development, religious, and educational efforts. Their 7 children live in 7 different states in the USA and have brought them 31 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Mary obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Utah Valley University and a Master Gardener certificate from Colorado State University. She enjoys gardening, hiking, writing, jigsaw puzzles (especially from and being a grandma). Curtis received a Bachelor of Science degree from Utah State University and a Juris Doctor degree from Brigham Young University. He had a career as a businessman, later as a banking executive. He enjoys working on their small farm, riding motorcycles, and experiencing the wonder and beauty of nature. Both Mary and Curtis enjoy playing pickleball with each other and friends.

In addition to the Middle East, they have traveled to Italy, French Polynesia, Mexico, Canada, Taiwan, and Japan, and to most of the states in the USA, including Alaska and Hawaii. They lived for 2 months in Costa Rica and Panama when their three youngest children were adolescents, in a Spanish immersion course.
