Expanding Early Childhood Education

Senegal | Moms Against Poverty

Expanding access at the moment it matters most

The Stirling Foundation partnered with Moms Against Poverty to expand access to early childhood education in Saly, Senegal. The project strengthened an existing elementary school preschool through the addition of three fully equipped classrooms and a multi-purpose learning space, allowing more than 100 additional children to participate in quality early education programs. After seeing the success of the school project, the City of Saly proposed additional funds to build and start an adjacent preschool. By creating a safe and supportive learning environment during the most formative years of development, the initiative helps lay a stronger foundation for lifelong learning, personal growth, and future opportunity.
