Kevin & Amy Livingstone

Country Managers of the Middle East
Amy and Kevin met through Students for International Development while undergraduates at BYU, and they are happy to be back addressing larger global challenges together. Amy studied the Middle East and Arabic, eventually leading to a career in the technology sector where she led international teams building and deploying computer speech solutions. Kevin did undergraduate and graduate work in genetics and evolution and loved teaching as a Biology professor. They are the parents of two daughters and a son, with a one bonus daughter they were fortunate to add through Amy’s work with young women in church. All four are married and Amy and Kevin love spending time with them and their spouses (and their first grandson!) Caring for a parent with Alzheimer’s led to early retirements, later allowing them to spend 21 months together in Egypt working with humanitarian partners and directly with South Sudanese refugees. When it is time for a break, they love being outdoors, with a strong preference for the beautiful red rock of the Colorado Plateau or high in the mountains.
