Each year, The Stirling Foundation awards promising international students 4-year, full-tuition scholarships to attend Brigham Young University-Idaho. These students have excelled in their home countries and demonstrate a strong passion for service, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to using their education to build a brighter future for their families, communities, and nations. Local partners provide critical mentorship and support to help these students thrive during their time at BYU-I. One scholarship recipient aspiring to a career in medicine used to study by street light due to frequent power outages at home. His determination to succeed carried over to his studies at BYU-I, where he was accepted into a highly competitive nursing program. His future plans include running a health clinic back home.
